I wanted to let you [Lisa] know how much I enjoyed the training and how much the experience helped me. After a difficult morning, fighting traffic and struggling to find a coffee shop, I arrived right at 8am and I was frazzled. I passed you in the hallway and the first words out of your mouth were something to the effect of “no rush, we are all good, just relax.” Then the smell of peace wafted through the hallway, the room had candles and soothing music. AMAZING. The tone carried on throughout the day. I can’t tell you how much your energy and caring nature meant to me. It was exactly what I needed and you helped me more than you could ever imagine. I applaud you for the work you have done and continue to do. Your genuine respect and care for children and adults with disabilities is so apparent. You are a gifted individual.
We recently partnered with Brave Yoga to offer a virtual yoga class to Special Olympics Massachusetts athletes. Lisa was so welcoming and did such a fantastic job instructing the class. Lisa is so personable, engaging and enthusiastic which is a huge part of why her class is so great! My favorite part about the class is that it is more than just exercise! During the class, Lisa implemented and taught the participants proper breathing techniques, calming strategies and tools for relaxation. The class does such a great job integrating mindfulness with movement.
We have been working with Lisa for about two years and we couldn’t be happier. She has the skill to transition seamlessly between working with adults and children, as well as those with significant behavioral challenges. Lisa’s positive attitude and unique approach to mindfulness and movement make her an incredible instructor. She is creative, fun, reliable and organized. Venture Community Services highly recommends Brave Yoga for All!
In our Day Habilitation program, our days can be pretty hectic. Taking an hour out of our busy schedules to relax with Lisa’s guidance is a great opportunity for us to reset and refocus. Lisa makes yoga accessible for people with all ability levels. She creates a routine that our participants can easily follow along. Yoga has helped our individuals come out of their shells, encouraging them to express themselves through movement and providing effective coping tools. Brave Yoga for All has been a positive addition to our services and has benefited our clients greatly.
