About Us
Brave Yoga for All is the brainchild of Lisa Irvine. In 2015, while looking for safe and natural ways to treat her adult clients with disabilities, Lisa combined her love for Yoga with a rewarding career as an occupational therapist and introduced Adaptive Yoga into her class regimen.
She immediately took note of her students’ receptiveness to the mindful techniques, and this marked the beginning of a decade-long journey that would lead to the creation of Brave Yoga for All.
“Yoga is like a geologist for the soul; it can show you where to dig, and what to dig for, but the digging you must do for yourself.” – Unknown
At Brave Yoga for All, Lisa and her team search for solutions and believe that physical, mental, and emotional challenges should be met with modified activity. In short, Adaptive Yoga allows yogis with disabilities to enjoy the benefits of Yoga using modified poses, breathwork, and mindfulness. In just a few sessions, Lisa and her team use poses and techniques that are adapted to the needs of the participants, thus allowing students to experience the power of a strong mind-body connection.
In the end, it’s not about creating your better self; it’s about treating yourself better and bringing out the best version of yourself because you are enough.
